Customer Service Representative

The Buenaventura office of Redding Bank of Commerce has an immediate need for a Customer Service Representative. The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing excellent customer service and adding to the positive growth of the Bank by providing solutions to customer needs and promoting products and services that meet their needs. This is done while ensuring prompt, efficient, confidential and accurate service.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Providing prompt, efficient service, including identifying customer needs and matching them with proper products and/or services; providing problem resolution, quoting rates and calculating interest, processing stop payments and wires, processing of deposits, withdrawals and issuing cashier’s checks.
  • Opening new accounts and performing account maintenance, including preparing required documentation and ordering checks, cards, statements, etc.
  • Following established Bank procedures and practices to ensure completeness and accuracy of work.
  • Additional duties and projects as assigned.
  • Position requires flexible work hours.

Requirements of the position are a high school diploma or equivalent, and an extensive knowledge of banking law and regulations related to new accounts and bank operations. The Customer Service Representative must also maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, work accurately with close attention to detail and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, as well as the ability to understand and describe Bank products and services in a concise manner.

The successful Customer Service Representative will also have excellent customer service and communication skills, good time-management, organizational, multi-tasking, problem-prevention and problem-solving skills, a high degree of professionalism, and the ability to work independently and as part of a group.

Teller

The Corning office of Redding Bank of Commerce has an immediate need for a full-time Teller. The Teller is responsible for providing excellent customer service and adding to the positive growth of the Bank by providing solutions to customer needs and promoting products and services tailored to our customers. This is done while ensuring prompt, efficient, confidential and accurate service.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Providing prompt, efficient service, including performing various financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals and issuing cashier’s checks.
  • Assisting customers with payment processing and other tasks including safe deposit access, stop payments, interest rate quotes, and account inquiries.
  • Adhering to Bank policies, procedures, and balancing rules.
  • Additional duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements of the position are a high school diploma or equivalent, and an understanding of banking laws and regulations. The Teller must also maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, work accurately with close attention to detail, and have the ability to understand and describe Bank products and services, including cross-selling appropriate products and services. Tellers must also have a good understanding of safety issues and the ability to identify potential fraud and fraudulent items.

The successful Teller will also have excellent customer service and communication skills, problem-prevention and problem-solving skills, and a high degree of professionalism. Bilingual Spanish/English skills are preferred.

Loan Administration Services Specialist

Redding Bank of Commerce has an immediate need for a Loan Administration Services Specialist. This position performs various duties related to loan processing, including boarding new loans, maintaining existing loans, tracking insurance and collateral, and any other tasks necessary to aid in the loan process.

Duties and responsibilities of the Loan Administration Services Specialist include:

  • Inputting all new, renewed, and extended loans into Core System, working with Loan Officers and Loan Administrators to ensure proper documentation steps have been taken, and properly disbursing loans as indicated by Loan Administrator.
  • Preparing loan documents using LaserPro to support credit based on approval reports and document order forms.
  • Maintaining collateral and security files to ensure they are updated with current information.
  • Processing reconveyances and demands, including closing lines of credit and releasing collateral.
  • Balancing general ledger accounts for Loan Work in Process, Loans Unposted, and Inspections.
  • Processing participation payments.
  • Reviewing work processed to ensure correctness.
  • Processing advances, pay-downs, and transfers, ensuring accurate and timely disbursement of loan funds.
  • Processing daily reports.
  • Processing wires for participation loans.
  • Processing reports, purchased portfolios, and payments.
  • Scanning documents and reports.

Additional responsibilities include tracking collateral and insurance for loans, answering and resolving customer inquiries within promised service level requirements, providing administrative support to Loan Administrators and Lenders, and any other duties that may be assigned.

The successful Loan Administration Services Specialist will possess:

  • Good written and oral communication skills and effective interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work with individuals and groups at all organization levels.
  • Solid word processing and computer database skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Laser Pro and other spreadsheet software applications.
  • Knowledge and understanding of banking rules, regulations and laws and all policies and procedures pertaining to them, including but not limited to BSA, privacy laws, SOX and other related regulations, and current knowledge and understanding of lending terms, loan products, credit application reports, and the process and documentation a loan must follow from application to payoff.
  • Strong analytical ability with active listening skills.
  • A high-school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of three (3) years of banking experience.
